New construction & tenant improvement
On new builds and TI work, we come in as the welding piece of a bigger project. That means reading the plans, welding structural connections and support steel to the engineered detail, and coordinating with the GC so our work is ready when the inspection or the next trade needs it. Railings, stairs, mounts, and infill steel all get welded to spec and left ready to sign off. We don't stamp the drawings — we execute the detail your engineer already did.
Maintenance & repair
Existing commercial properties break, wear out, and fail inspection too. Property managers, restaurants, retail shops, and warehouses call us for the loose handrail, the bent dock hardware, the sagging gate, the cracked equipment mount, or the rack that took a forklift hit. Do you work with general contractors on commercial jobs?
Yes. A lot of our commercial welding work comes through general contractors and site supers who need a welder to handle a specific scope on a build or tenant improvement. Send the plans, the detail, or a description of what's needed, and we'll give you a straight quote and slot into the schedule so we're not the trade holding everything else up.
Can you weld to our engineer's spec, and does the work get inspected?
Yes. On commercial work we build to the detail and spec your engineer or architect provides — the right material, the specified weld, and the connection drawn on the plan. If the connection needs to be signed off or inspected, we weld it so it's ready for that review. We don't design the structure; we execute the detail you hand us.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial welding?
Yes, Idaho Welding Service is licensed and insured, which matters on commercial sites where a certificate of insurance is usually required before anyone works. If your GC or property manager needs proof of coverage on file before we start, just ask and we'll get it handled.
Can you schedule around the other trades on site?
That's the whole idea. Commercial jobs run on a sequence, and welding usually has to land in a specific window between other trades. Tell us when the work needs to happen and we'll show up in that slot, get our scope done, and get out of the way so the next crew can keep moving.
